The quality of life offered in Oakville is unparalleled. According to a recent survey by the town, 86 percent of Oakville’s responding residents said that “Oakville is a better place to live than anywhere else in the GTA”. Additionally, Oakville was ranked the 5th most romantic place in Canada by Amazon.ca!

Although Oakville is not a big bustling city, there’s plenty to do! The extensive shoreline offers a fabulous walk along the waterfront, or take it indoors and spend some time at any of Oakville’s exceptional facilities that offer year-round activities for people of all ages creates a warm, community atmosphere.

Speaking of things to do—Oakville is getting spooky this month with a whole line up of activities leading up to Halloween!

The 12th annual Trek or Treat takes place on Friday the 13th (could it be a more fitting day?)! Get your costume ready to run through Oakville’s trails—there are two options: 5K and 1K—and everyone ends the night with pizza, hot chocolate, and candy!

Starting on October 16th all the way ‘til the day before Halloween, take part in Oakville Historical Society’s Ghost Walk.  You’ll experience an “eerie, spine-tingling” walk through the oldest parts of town and learn little bits about its history.

And of course, we can’t forget Halton’s Haunted Halloween! On October 27th , Westfield Heritage Village is hosting mysterious nights filled with “lanterns, pumpkins and moonlight.” There’s only one way to find out what really happens in the Village at night…
